Our story
Safira Energia was founded to give Brazilian consumers control over their electricity bill, betting on the strength of the free market. Since 2008, we have built a solid track record in the sector and gathered experience across different market cycles.
Where we started
We were founded in 2008 to help consumers negotiate energy directly in the free market. In practice, we were a trading desk: work began and ended with buying and selling energy.
Our Evolution
Instead of only negotiating contracts, we began managing them, with our own teams for consumption management, research and market intelligence, which today rely on climate modeling applied to price forecasting. We built our own SaaS platforms and, with the free market opening to all Group A consumers in 2024, structured solutions for retail too. This diversified experience, across wholesale and retail trading, consulting and innovation, gave us a broad and deep view of the power sector, from energy origination to risk management, spanning regulation, operations and technology.
Our voice in the sector
We closely follow the sector's regulatory agenda, taking part in ANEEL public consultations and hearings and in CCEE forums. This lets us anticipate trends and quickly adapt our solutions, instead of merely reacting to them.
Where we are heading
The "complete energy ecosystem" is a direction, not just a final destination. Today, Safira Energia is going through a new cycle of evolution, adapting its structure to the transformations of the power sector and the economic landscape. We face this moment with the same analytical intelligence and adaptability that have always defined us, traits that allowed us to navigate different market cycles throughout our history.
With an experienced technical team, we intend to expand our offering into Energy as a Service (EaaS), on-demand energy solutions, and specialized consulting, putting at the market's disposal the knowledge we have accumulated since 2008.
